Enterprise Oxfordshire appoints Fortitude Communications to help fuel the region’s economy

Enterprise Oxfordshire has partnered with PR agency Fortitude Communications to help it raise its profile.

Fortitude will deliver a strategic communications programme designed to enhance Enterprise Oxfordshire’s brand presence and highlight its impact on the local economy.

The appointment follows the recent announcement of Enterprise Oxfordshire’s new managing director, Paula Mullin, who will lead the next phase of the economic development agency and business growth hub’s journey.

Enterprise Oxfordshire delivers a comprehensive range of business, skills, investment and trade support services, as well as supporting a variety of strategies to drive Oxfordshire’s economic potential in a sustainable and inclusive way.

Fortitude was appointed following a competitive public tender process and will work in partnership with Enterprise Oxfordshire to amplify key initiatives supporting businesses, innovation, and economic growth. Activity will focus on multi-channel storytelling, media relations, content creation, and stakeholder engagement.

Consistent and clear communications

Rob Panting, Communications Manager at Enterprise Oxfordshire, said: “This is an exciting time of economic opportunity in Oxfordshire and it’s critical we ensure businesses here continue to gain access to growth support and investment further enters the county.

“Communicating this clearly and consistently is key to success and partnering with Fortitude will help us achieve our objectives. We had an excellent response to our tender and Fortitude stood out due to its exceptional PR and storytelling track record, connections and strategic approach.”

Greig Box Turnbull, founder of Fortitude, said: “We’re proud to have been appointed by Enterprise Oxfordshire, it is an organisation we hugely admire and have aspired to represent for some time.

“The work it delivers in Oxfordshire has a significant impact on the health of our economy and we’re hugely excited to represent another brand that performs such an important role in our community.”

Local economic development functions – formerly led by the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) – were brought under the oversight of Oxfordshire County Council in April 2025 and are now delivered through Enterprise Oxfordshire.

Based on ARC Oxford, award-winning Fortitude is a PR agency which has clients across the UK in sectors including corporate, sport, charity, education, manufacturing and hospitality.

The agency specialises in helping its clients communicate effectively via various services including PR, social media management and video production.
