The organisation is set to become a charity in the new year and will launch a new three-year strategy heralding an exciting new chapter for the sport in the county.
Its vision is to make cricket in Oxfordshire open for all, championing the game’s ability to inspire communities, develop talent, and bring people together through shared passion and opportunity.
Oxfordshire Cricket appointed award-winning Fortitude as its PR agency to create and deliver a communications strategy to support its launch as charity and build awareness, perception and engagement with key stakeholders.

Excellent track record
Nick Pinhol, Managing Director of Oxfordshire Cricket, said: “This is an exciting new era for Oxfordshire Cricket as we embark on becoming a charity and rolling out our ambitious new strategy.
“We’re determined to engage, inspire and support more people across the county and use cricket to help people develop and lead fulfilling lives.
“Fortitude has an excellent track record and were the obvious choice to support us with our launch.”
Delivering impact
Greig Box Turnbull, founder of Fortitude, said: “Oxfordshire Cricket’s move to charitable status and its bold new strategy represents a key milestone for the county and an inspiring new chapter for the sport.
“We’re proud to be working with such a progressive organisation and look forward to delivering real impact. We’ve got a strong track record in sport and charity and so this is a partnership primed for success.”
The appointment builds on the partnership between Oxfordshire Cricket and Fortitude which last year saw the agency deliver social media masterclasses to youngsters enrolled on the cricket board’s Future Leaders Academy.
This year junior participation has surged in the county and 8,040 children have been reached through Oxfordshire Cricket’s bursary, community and school programmes.
Oxford based Fortitude is a PR, marketing and video agency based in Oxford, which has clients in sectors including sport, charity, corporate and hospitality.
